Strengthening Civil Society Advocacy Capacity

Gatefield partnered with Michigan State University to develop the core program design to create a robust practical and theoretically sound capacity building program. Our program delivery approach involved delivering a deep dive survey report to access organisational capacity. We approached our deep dive by employing self-assessment questionnaires, follow-up interviews and evidentiary verifications of relevant organisational resources. This report helped to create tailored recommendations and an encompassing curriculum to address the knowledge gaps of the civil society organisations. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Gatefield developed training resources adapted for virtual learning including manuals, presentations and audiovisual products.
